Drain coolant from the bottom hose. If the quadrant behinf the thermostat housing is plastic then a valve cap will be your "bleed screw", looks just like a tyre valve cap. If the quadrant is metal then a 10mm bolt will be your bleed screw. There is also a bleed nipple on the heater matrix pipes next to the bulkhead inlet/outlet. You'll obviously need to remove the engine cover for all this.

 

Can I use Antifreeze from Halfords?

 

Renault use a premixed solution, but I have seen plenty with normal antifreeze in over the years so would think you'll be more than ok..

 

You may find its just as cheap, if not cheaper buying from a Renault dealer.
