Espace clutch/accelerator 'popping' noise

Ok here's the latest.........

I hear a 'popping' (or 'clicking') sound when I change gear at low speed. It appears to happen when I lift off and on the accelerator. I have tried to make the sound when depressing clutch in and out only but no sound. It only occurs when the accelerator comes into play either with the clutch during a gear change and sometimes just accelerator only but at low speeds say 0 - 30mph. Higher speeds than there is no sound when lifting off and on. The 'pop' also happens when I first start up the engine and when I switch off without touching the pedals.

Any ideas on this one?

Sounds like the clutch cylander seals may be on their way out. The pop would be where it is being pressurised by the servo

sounds like engine mounts you dont say which model but i would check mounts may not be burst just loose

2.2 dCi 02 plate is the model. Doesn't 'feel' like clutch as there is no 'popping' sound when depressing the clutch in and out when moving along. It seems to happen if there is a small 'jerk' in car movement during gear change when lifting off and on the accelerator.

Yea could indeed be the flywheel but i would be inclined towards a mounting loose/burst
