Manufacturers began fitting DPFs to all diesel cars from 2009 onwards as a way of reducing the emission of toxic particulates from their exhausts. you could always crawl under and have a look..

If the sticker on the b pillar says fap it’s definitely got a dpf fitted.

 

My 2010 Mk3 130 Dci doesn't have a fap fitted ????

 

No Frank, it’s french as in filtre a particules and clearly printed on a sticker either on the b pillar or drivers door.
Here it is, it’s on the drivers door, immediately below the tyre pressure information sticker on my car.
I got p1ss wet through taking this, hope you’re happy lord bodgit [emoji106]

pretty sure its in DVLA log book as well as FAP in description i.e Grand Scenic 1.9 DCI (FAP) 7 seater etc

 

Thanks for the replies everyone, I've checked under the car and couldn't see it, checked the drivers door and it only had the tyre pressure, also checked the engine bay and had no dpf symbols anywhere there was only 1 sticker which doesn't look like dpf!

 

Car may have been built before the reg date and been parked up in a field like so many are.. at least you know now you dont have one..

 

A scenic and cornering does not compute an over weight Hippo could do it better.. 😁

 

I'm on 16" with the 60 profile tyres and whilst it does roll a bit, it goes around corners like a rabbit on a rail without the slightest hint of not knowing what it's about.
