Hello guys! 👋

I hope that someone here can help me. I just purchased a Clio II Ph2 16v -05. Since I'm located in Sweden the steering wheel is on the left hand side. I get a fault code, DF179 and a SRS-light. The fault code says: "Driver side front side sensor circuit, short circuit". I already did cut the connector underneath the seat and soldered the wires together. So it seems there is a sensor in the front that is the problem. I tried to find information about this, but I am struggling. Does it refer to a crash sensor or is it something else? What should I look for? The Haynes manual does not mention the SRS system at all. All help would be greatly appreciated. I need to sort this out as rapidly as possible. Cheers to you all and thanks in advance 🍻😄

Hello again! So today I looked for the impact sensor. I don't know if this is the right one. It's located at the bottom of the b-pillar, underneath the trim. I am attaching pictures. Maybe this is the side one and not the front one? The Ohm reading for it is 14. I don't know if that is normal or not? I could see there was corrosion inside the connector going to the sensor. Sadly it's hard to remove this as I can't get the pins out. I used some electrical cleaning spray but the light will not come off. Maybe I could solder the wire directly to the sensor though. Please help with all of your suggestions 😊👍🏻 Thanks in advance!

Hello again! Luckily I just got Autocom. Even though I am a beginner I managed to confirm that the driver seat sensor is faulty. The Ohm reading is apparently 414 and not 14! So clearly there is a problem with the sensor. A used one is on its way. Hopefully it will solve the problem 😊👍🏻
