put timing chain kit on sprockets etc with the kit from euro car parts didn’t change cam sensor as tried it in mates van and it was working fine ? Do u think I should try new sensor? Thanks

 

NO if cam sensor was working on your mates leave it in yours
Can we start from beginning
Is this a non runner then

Have you tested for a crank signal ( Shows in live data )
Can you post the fault code, all of the code

no my mate has done the work I don’t think he has checked that but put new timing kit on today. Van was a non runner as engine was knocking bad and knackerd with 173k on it and had not been serviced regularly so found a good engine with only 80k and put in changed wireloom injectors new clutch kit new maf sensor new drive belt

DF119 camshaft sensor
Permanent
Signal incoherence
DF232 coolant pressure sensor
Permanent but my mate said that fault is cause ac needs regas

Try this then before you lose the will to live
Get engine upto temp
Take for a 30 mile run, USING all gears as you do
Come back home and see if the light will know go off
Could be the crank sensor has not worked out new settings and is playing silly beggars
