Could they be meaning the UCH?

 

The diagnostic report says "Upc fault req this first due to internal fault".

I've googled UPC an can find nothing... I think he mentioned its next to the battery

 

sounds like uch issue to me maybe the uch is called upc by some diagnostic systems

I have read all your posts and all your faults seem to be electrical on most modern cars the electrics are controlled by a computer and every function goes through this computer it might be called uch bsi bsm bcm etc etc but it all leads back to the same part some cars have a main module inside and another under the bonnet

You cannot just fit a secondhand one as in most cases they are coded to the car and will not work in a different car some can be recoded some cannot

 

I can't find a UPC online to check the price - anyone have any ideas?

the UPC is the Underbonnet Switching Unit.
