Hello folks,

I wondered if anyone could point me in the next direction. As the code suggests it's the EGR. Already had DF619, removed the EGR, shoved it in the parts washer along with the convoluted tube. At that time it also had DF209 & DF025.

Sticking it all back together, I had a bunch of codes from the low battery issue. So cleared the lot, only DF025 remained. Took the car for a good run with 2 stop/starts before the MOT and no warning light. That was until the tester started it up.

With the ignition on I probed the connection and found Pin1 12v, Pin2 5v & Pin5 3v. I have yet to load the circuit but will try tomorrow. I remember reading somewhere that an Aircon sensor may cause an issue. If this is suspect would someone kindly point me to the location?

Not a clue what the codes mean and not looked them up...but.....
EGRs have an internal position sensor that tells the ECU whether open or closed and what its normal travel is.
These can change (the system learns) and often, if the EGR gets clogged and progressively reduces movement, the system accepts this until it reaches a max limit.
Then you change the system by cleaning the EGR (or changing it) and all of a sudden, the system reads new limits and identifies this as a fault.
Given time it should decide all is well as it has seen the new limits for summat like 20 cycles....start stops
Or a diagnostic that talks Renault and can get into the system can "reset" the adaptives (limits)...basically by cycling the unit so the ECU can record the new limits.

Hi Dancingdad, many thanks for your reply and the information.
Apologies for not explaining the codes further. It is the water-cooled EGR system.

DF619 EGR valve jammed open (it was stuck solid)
DF209 EGR valve position circuit Open circuit or short to earth
DF025 Preheating unit diagnostic connection

I'll poke around with the glow plugs in the meantime and try a few cycles.
