I've had a new battery installed on my Megane 2018 since it was installed the message Check SOS Call has appeared on dash. There's no SOS button on the car, Renault are saying the car is communicating with a Module which doesn't exist. They aren't sure how to fix it without stripping everything back (too expensive). Car works fine just this message will not go away. If anyone has any ideas of how to fix or who might be able to help without going back to Renault it would be appreciated.

I'm a bit confused.
Not only is there a module that doesn't exist, there is a switch not existing as well.
And I would assume a software switch within the system to enable the SOS system.
Without connecting suitable diagnostics I cannot be sure on the last but being as Renault usually use such a system....

So are they saying that they have connected diagnostics and found a rogue signal that is somehow bypassing the enable software?
And if so, with a little thought and Can Clip plus possibly a test lamp, why do they need to start stripping out?
