Hello I have a 2002 clio 1.5 dci. My problem is when you accelerate up to around 2,500 rpm the engine surges badly and will not rev any harder plus the red stop light comes on with the red symbol of the engine.

If you come off the throttle the red lights go out and you can accelerate back up to around 2,500 rpm. I brought the car with a knackered turbo. And have had the turbo replaced with a new reconditioned turbo. Could it be the new turbo is knackered aswell or a sensor etc.

I have made sure all the pipes and clamps are done up tight on the turbo etc I have even disconnected some of the sensors and still no joy. Can any one help
