My other half god bless her has dumped 2 bottles of fuel system cleaner into the tank just before a trip down south. Thankfully there was a fuel tank of juice in it, we did 3/4 of the trip with no problems and then on the last leg back the motor flags up "Check Emissions" question is - is that much Redex likely to cause this warning to come on?

There is no noticable loss of power, no loss in fuel economy and it starts off the key!??

And on a side not the drivers window wont go down or up properly, one push on the switch will lower it say a couple of inches and then needs another push for another couple of inches

Any idea's on those 2 problems people?

Hi billpine

I have used redex now for around 4 years religiously every Month so i doubt very much thats whats up but i could be wrong, they do say some of these products are bad for lambda sensors but like i say Ive yet to have problem but because of the amount used it might? just might have made a difference,

It sound like your window is just out of sync?? and just needs reset, there is a procedure on the forum but for the life of me i can't ever remember it:eek::d,

Have a search of the forum using the search facility under "window reset or resync" doesn't matter which model of car it is as its the same across the board i think?,

Hope that helps Donald

To reset the windows do the following :-

1. Lower the window all the way to the bottom then hold the switch in the open position for 5-10 seconds.
2. Raise the window all the way to the top then hold the switch in the close position for 5-10 seconds.

Your window should now be reset. You will have to do this to all of the windows if you ever disconnect the battery, so its worth knowing. :)
