Sorry if it is a stupid question but the meaning of this is????

The switch has two functions - one to operate the brake lights and the other to measure the speed at which the pedal is depressed so the ABS system can activate brake assist.
If the switch is faulty or improperly positioned a fault in the ABS system can arise.

 

Would this effect the cruise control aswell? It seems to have stopped working

The whole situation here, DF228, cruise control not working. Was it take switch, potentiometer etc.

Having the same problems but there’s no resolution to this fourm in the end.

 

Have you got a diagnostic scanner First thing check clutch switch with scanner see if its working correctly

Are there any faults logged in any other parts of the car
Has the car had an ecu kit fitted and Vin numbers dont match the car
Has the car had a remap
These are so many things need to be checked
