Hello,

I apologize in advance if I am posting this in the wrong place, I do not usually use/post on forums and am new here. Apologies out of the way I will now go through the problem

I recently purchased a 2012 Renault Megane III 1.5dCi Dynamique Tom Tom. I have noticed that the side lights do not appear to work on it however?

The Daytime running lights come on as soon as you start the car, then when you switch up to side lights, the DRL half switch off, but the side light bulbs still do not light?

I spoke with the dealer (not a renault dealer) who has said that their 'Master technician' had said that as the car had DRL it did not use sidelights. If this is the case, why would there be side light bulbs in the light housing?

Has anyone else with a Megane III had this problem or are sidelights working? I spoke with a Renault Dealership and they said that it seemed odd and that the side lights should be working and that the daytime running lights should not half go out with side lights on?

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

Ok everyone Here is a spanner in the works I have opened up headlight , checked side lamp, confirmed ok WIRING IS CONNECTED TO LAMPHOLDER. However neither sidelight illuminates at all.
THE DRL'S work with sidelight switch (ignition card out ) So obviously the wiring is not connected somewhere.
