If you are in the market for a no-nonsense OBDII dongle I can suggest/recommend this.
Its but a lowly version 1.4 ORIGINAL ELM327 dongle but its not lying or pretending to be anything its not and cannot be ......................... it supports the long coding strings some apps require (eg BMW motorcycle software used to reset service indicators and schedules)
Get to register it and there are firmware update available for it .
Note there are other way more expensive versions available that can also do wifi and advanced Ford & GM vehicle networks (MS-CAN and SW-CAN)
Yes its rather expensive in itself, but it outperforms my other 15 year old ELM327 dongle in any and all tests and with all apps I tried so far:sunny:
