Hi,
I've got this error code. I've replaced my MaF and that doesn't seem to be the problem, what else can it be? Thanks guys.

Renault use a different protocol in their ECU's but your fault code is generic and doesn't always translate accurately to a comparable Renault fault code. In effect a generic code can be misleading.

When you unplug the MAF the ECU goes into default mode (not the same as limp mode) whereby the ECU ignores many sensors and operates on standard parameters. That doesn't necessarily mean the MAF itself is faulty. I have lost count the number of MAF sensors that have been replaced unecessarily due to misleading or poorly interpreted generic fault codes.

If we knew how the engine is or isn't performing correctly it may help narrow the possible fault.

Driving one day and I had the spanner and engine light on. Bought a reader and showed a P0101... deleted the code and came back on once I accelerated. The thing that annoys me is, it once went about 5 months before coming back on... but now it'll almost come on when you accelerate.

My dpf needed a clean about 15k miles ago and I had him look at the code also, I remember him looking at the EGR and saying it's clean/fine, and he couldn't find the route to the problem. With regards to fuel leakes, I'm not entirely sure, the car has passed 2 MOT's and had 2 services in this time and they hadn't picked up on leakes.

With my MAF plugged in the car drives fine just has a judder when accelerating at times...
Hopefully this is enough info....
Cheers

Hi ShaneMegane17.

just wondering if you ever got this sorted, I’ve got a Megane 2011 1.5dci and I too have had the same problem, only recently it’s got much worse, mine seems 2 lose power when it gets to 2500 revs, like it really starts to get jumpy, and loss of power is almost instant. I too have been to a garage and they couldn’t find the route problem.
When it started it would go 4 months without it happening and i need to use it for work so have t really had time to get it done, now it’s consistently been like it for the last couple weeks.
I’m getting a “check anti pollution system” and “check injectors” lights on but they don’t stay on, but the losing of power is constant now, anything after 2-3000 revs and it just loses all power and starts to judder.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.
