Hi guys...I have a Renault Kangoo MK2 1.5dci ..had a code PO0089 come up on my scanner ..says Fuel pressure regulator which is bolted to the lower back of the diesel pump with a 2 pin brown connector block ..also there is a sensor sitting just above it which is the diesel temperature sensor with a green connector
..I have changed both these sensors but stiil have the red stop lightwhist driving especially on small inclines orhills
My question is ...Is there a Fuel pressure sensor located on the underside of the fuel rail like the one pictured below ..the fuel rail is round like a spider with then connects to a threaded end on then there are 4 I can visualise with a pipes coming off it to the top of each injector ...but how do I remove it as there is a thick black plastic glow plug wire and injector wire at the front any screws or bolts for this removing this ?are they hidden how do I access them .. how do I remove them so I can then visualise if there is another sensor hiding below ..? I'm pretty stuck a friend has told me that there is another sensor hiding underneath the spider which screws on but I can't even see it or locate it ..just wanted to know if there is deffinatley a three pin sensor with a black connector sitting under neath the fuel rail spider any help in how to remove it would be greatly appreciated

Why are you swapping sensors?
The sensor is telling the engine there is a fault.
That fault is that the ECU is not seeing the fuel pressure in the rail that it expects.
Which could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter or more complex such as leaky injectors, fuel pressure regulator or FUBAR HP fuel pump.

It is often worth checking live data with diagnostics...can save you playing parts darts with guesses or false assumptions.

Brand new diesel filters fitted every service intervals last one changed 6 weeks ago
Fuel pressure regulator changed
I can however see small air bubbles coming out of one of the clear fuel pipes from the filter ..I have also changed the black hard plastic hand primer pump . diesel pump is ok as I'm getting diesel to each injector .. could it be a sticking injector or a leaky injector. How can I tell if it's one of my injectors at fault ? Could air still be going back into the tank if one or some of the injectors are faulty also are all Renault 1.5 DCI engines injectors interchangeable with other models ie will the injectors from a Renault Clio fit a Renault Kangoo

Ok, you seem to have covered most common issues.
But would still recommend plugging your diagnostics in when driving and if possible, get some live data.
My suspicion is that fuel flow is being compromised and that is leading to your issue.

Re the filter...... We have seen many cases where aftermarket filters have been fitted and this causes issues.
Often as the connection pipes are not quite right so the plug on connectors don't seal properly.
This can lead to air getting in...your little bubbles?????
Grease the connections to help the seals.

Injectors...leak off test will show if one at fault..... you can do this yourself.
Many different flavours of 1.5DCi and injector models can vary.... if replacing match the numbers, will also need coding in the ECU..... don't go there unless needed

I fitted a Man fuel filter and you are absolutely right it seems like that one of the connectors isn't siting right so probably is drawing in air hence the little air bubbles Can this issue be rectified can I try fitting a new o ring or rubber washer or would grease solve the issue or do I need to replace the diesel filter

Can't really say except yes to the the above.
Mann is a good make as long as it is a genuine filter and not one simply called Man but nothing to do with the company.
If memory serves, seals are small O rings and these can get brittle and hard with age, even split....can be dug out and replaced.
And grease will help seal though whether more then a temporary fix depends on exact issue.
Should at least prove a point.
