We have a 5-door Hatchback Renault Megane 2, which will not lock or unlock the central locking with the key fob.
Our key fob has no LEDs, is credit card shaped.
The indicator lights will flash on the car.
It will only unlock and lock the passenger door manually through a key.
The actuator has been changed in the passenger door.
Fuses are all checked and are ok.

Any ideas?

Why did you change the actuator, passenger side as against the one that gives the open signal, being the drivers side.
The emergency key only release the lock , its got no control over the electrics,.
Would be no good if it did, as if battery was flat, still have no electrics.
Does the internal lock and unlock the doors..
Has the key card been checked to see if its sending a signal out.
Have you a spare key card , does this work, or doing the same, or no spare key card?

i had read that it was in the passenger door. -right hand drive!
only the passenger door opened with the key.
no spare key.
it does make a noise somewhere under the centre console when operated and the light in between the dials flashes along with the indicators which makes me think that if it does these things, it must be sending and receiving a signal.
0.05 volt was received on one of the terminals in the drivers door plug connector
