The water pump is driven off of the auxillary belt on the left hand side of the engine as you look from the front.There isn't much of a gap between the engine and the inner wing,so I suspect you won't see very much of it,especially if your car has aircon.

Is there any way of knowing or seeing if a new pump has been put on i.e trying to see it from above or below the car.
