Hi,

I have a Renault Master T33 2.8 DTI, the cam belt has just gone, engine needs replacing. I am having trouble finding one from a Master but upon reading can see it shares it's engine with the following;

1997–2010 Renault Master
1998–2003 Opel Movano
1998–2006 Fiat Ducato
1999–2003 Renault Mascott
2000–2006 Citroën Jumper
2000–2006 Peugeot Boxer
2000–2006 Iveco Daily

I have seen this ad on ebay - FIAT DUCATO BOXER 2.8 DIESEL NONE TURBO ENGINE 8140.63 (94-02) A1 RUNNER TESTED | eBay for a Fiat Ducato engine and am hoping it may fit my van.

Can anyone help guide me here?

Thanks,

Liam

Yours is a TDI . ( Turbo diesel injection) WITH rotary fuel pump
The last one you mentioned is common rail (Cdi)

a Non turbo engine, will not accept a turbo..
It will fubar the engine very quickly
So first one no good, second one no good

the vans at the garage, they've quoted £1,200 to rebuild it, and said it would be cheaper if I could find an engine and have them fit it.

It seems quite hard to find one out of an actual master so looking for a fitting engine from another van as my last hope.

Just saw this one - CITROEN RELAY FIAT DUCATO BOXER CAMPER 2.8TD 8140.43S COMPLETE ENGINE | eBay

Any thoughts, it is a turbo model 8140, would this fit?
