Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this one. I drive a 2006 Renault Megane 1.9 dci. Bought 6 months ago and all was fine until tonight when check injection light came on with tool light. I do many motorway miles every day and when light came on I noticed a distinct lack of power for overtaking or going uphill. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I don't get ripped off at a garage! With many thanks.

Hi Madnoel10 - many thanks for replying and trying to help. Although the car is diesel I don't know if it has a diesel particulate filter - the only warning lights on are the check injection with the orange spanner highlighted. Was serviced 2 months ago, but not at a Renault garage and I don't know whether they changed the fuel filter, The car has been booked in for diagnostic check tomorrow and I've been told the usual "it could be a cheap fix or possibly very expensive" . Thanks for the EGR valve suggestion - am about to look it up and educate myself!

Hi,

I am having exactly the same problem
2007 megane 1.5dci

Did you fix this?

changed my EGR and made no difference

I put my foot down and reaching 65 plus i have a sudden loss of power, check injection appears and a spanner light.
I had a machine plugged in and it came up "DF301 air intake circuit malfunction"
Turning off the engine and back on clears it. Even on the plug in machine. If i go 65 plus again it comes back on.

Any ideas?
please let me know or anyone else?

Hi,

A diagnostic check showed the problem as a Power Booster Sensor. Had to wait for one from Renault supplier who said it was a common problem and they were out of stock countrywide. Sensor now fitted and car back up to speed. The sensor came to £97 plus labour and VAT totalling £179. I suppose it could have been worse!! Not sure if your loss of power is the same as mine was at all speeds whenever I accelerated. Hope this helps and you get fixed up soon.

How much do you want for it.. >:) :wink2:
All cars need a bit of TLC.
As yours is doing it when warm..
EGR sticking , Engine coolant temperature sensor, or with your symptoms dirty crank sensor tip...

First thing would be, check,..
Enough info on here if you use the Search tab, for you to learn, and check/clean these parts..
