I cannot be certain but it looks like the sensor for oil level. When you start the engine you get a message saying oil level ok,well this could be the sensor i think.Maybe if it cannot detect oil level,it may be telling ecu not to let fuel through.Only a guess mind as i dont know whats on the other end of the sensor as i have not taken mine out.

(YEs I know that one is described as Scenic/Meg and a 1.4 so won't be the right one but should be similar)

 

Davey, think you're right, it must be the oil level sensor.

If it cuts fuel when disconnected I dont know but could be the case.


Dacingdad, I have'nt taken it apart yet, but the pic from ebay could be this one, the top looks the same.

It should have said "if some one else know for sure if it cuts petrol or not please let me know" (via the ECU)

 

Was having problems with my eyes yesterday and couldn't even make out the sensor housing on the block in the first pic..with a fresh pair of eyes this morning I can see it and confirm it is an oil sensor..many are blocked off on the D4F yours is not obviously..:smile2:
