Cruise control not working on 4th, 5th and 6th gear

Hello guys I have a problem that "eats my head". The cruise control won't work after changing from 3rd to 4th gear. It works on 2nd and 3rd above 30km/h but when I change to the next gears (4,5,6) it doesn't work; but the speed limiter does in any gear.

The rotary switch is new, bought some weeks ago. I changed both clutch switch (sensors) and brake switch also. I don't know what to do, every help is welcome. I want to try something to fix it before going to the mechanic.

Has anyone had this problem?

Btw. my car is a diesel.

So cruise control DOES work,, but a circuit is not being re-activated after you move the gear lever, through the box

Educated guess, neutral switch on your gearbox ,,
The one on top of the gearbox is the neutral switch,, the one at the back is the reverse switch

Not a clue mate, where you would find it in the book,( book, whats one of them :smile2:)

Its right on top of the gearbox, think it is accessible, with the battery and battery tray removed .
Not sure if cleaning will work, as it is on a plunger system, and the chances are it would not show up as sticking,.
Dont think they are expensive. Less than 20£

if you get to that switch, pull the plug off, and see if your reversing lights come on.
If they do, then the reverse switch is above the nearside drive shaft.
If t.hey dont, then yes it is reverse.
But if you look through Dialgys, fill your oval plate in,.
Then find the cruise control section, everything can be checked with an ohms meter, no special tools required,
So then you will need to check switches are working on the clutch and brake pedal also the relay , hidden low on the passenger side/centre consul footwell.

It is pointing to the switches,, But in case it has not been mentioned ( dont shoot the messenger ), the switch is not turned off,,.

Drivers side, three switches on the facia panel, just around knee height,.
The headlight levelling, the dash lights, then the other one Cruise control, Esp, I think,
Would check

Alright, thank you.

Today I've noticed that when I go in third gear with the cruise control turned on and I move the gear to Neutral (over 30 km/h) and if I try to turn the cruise control (pressing "R" or "+-") it changes betwen "Memory" - "Cruise control" the same that happens when I go in the fourth, fifth and sixth gear.
