Adblue is mainly used in Euro 6 engines and came into force in 2016 I think but engine manufacturers have been using it for a few years now ...some commercial euro5 engines used it

 

I understand for forced generation. Does renault has something similat like the Germans use Adblue?

 

Not only Germans, All Europe, But only on vehicles considerably newer than yours. And is Bog all to do with DPF blockage.

The client took the Koleos to a dealer in another town because we don`t have a Renault dealer by us? The dealer phoned me and also told me that every time a DPF regeneration needs to be done you also need to replace engine oil & filter. I personally don`t believe that because what happens when the vehicle regenerates on its own?

When It does a self Clean (usually whilst driving), rather than a forced regenerate (static), it doesn't inject extra diesel in to make the DPF burn off the internal crud.
The dealer, in this case is correct. Would you run an engine on seriously diluted oil?

 

I phoned the Renault dealership. It is aMk1. I looked through the vehicle and cannot find the oval plate?

 

No use Vin will not cross reference as to why the codes are there...
Thats why the vehicle type is needed....
Will not be able to find the correct info..
