New member looking for a bit of advice.

Have a 2002 Laguna II 1.9 Dci which has developed some serious issues. Oil leaking into Turbo Charger and Cat Converter I'm told. Local garage has repaired same fitting a new turbo and Cat at much expense. Lasted 8 weeks before turbo went again. Has been replaced at garage's expense but turbo supplier refused a replacement turbo as here had been oil leaking into turbo? Bit of a techno phobe so I don't know much else. Garage couldn't promise that this will not happen again.

Has anyone any idea what might be causing this leak and more importantly how to resolve it.

Oil "leaking" into the turbo can only come from the rebreather system. I suggest you get the garage to clean that system.
This is how it works:
Oil vapours from the engine is piped into a decanter or oil separator where most of the oil vapour is supposed to separate and/ or condense and be returned to the sump. Some oil will always carry over up into the separator outlet an into the turbo which is normal. Any restriction or blockage in this system means more than normal oil gets carried into the turbo, intercooler and inlet ducting. Overfilling sump will aggrevate this problem. Too much oil from rebreather system into turbo can damage fins on compressor wheel. Worn piston rings can cause similar problems and can be confirmed by doing a compression test.
