Hello,
I'm trying to remove the radio from my 2002 Renault Espace Authentique (phase 3), but I'm stuck!
My car has the radio in the middle, just in front of gear stick (not under the drivers seat). It is the original Renault radio.
I cant get the wiring blocks off the back of the radio. Does anyone know how to remove the wires? They are very difficult to get to so I cant see the whole fitting, but they do have a yellow tab on one side, with the wires coming our the other side.
For info I want to fit a parrot ck3000 bluetooth kit.

Thanks,
Ben

My neighbour fits Parrot kits for a living and I watched him fit a kit to his own Lag II Tourer last weekend. After sliding the radio from the dash he was able to unplug the muti-plugs one at a time. He just used his fingers and a small screwdriver to ease them out gently watching for the spring catches as he went. Yes they can be very tight! He also tok a picture of the setup first. He also advises removing the fuse first in case you short something in the process. So have your radio code handy:)

Thanks madnoel10.
The difficulty is that I cant withdraw the radio as the wires are too sort! I've been lying upside down in the footwell to look at the back of the radio. I need to unplug the radio before withdrawing it.
I guess it is difficult because i'm trying to unplug the wires blind. I've unplugged ISO plugs before, but these seem different. I'm worried that I will break somthing - in fact the tops of the plugs have already popped off, but the plugs themselves are stuck!
Thanks,

Ben

Any time I have removed the radios there has always been enough room even though space is tight. Is there any possibility the loom may heve been altered or roped into place with cable ties or such. Are there any panels above or below you could remove to aid access:)

I know what you mean - this is the first time I've been stuck like this - other cars I have removed the radio on have been fine.
On the authentique it seems that the radio was added as an after thought in a plastic 'pod' below the dash. Other models have the radio under the seat.
I uncliped the wires from the ties but they are still not long enough.
Never mind - I will try again.
Thanks for your help.

Ben
