Renault Clio wipers wont stop! help!

Hi all, I was on my way to work this morning in the rain so obviously turned my wipers on. However....they won't now stop, even when turned off. I thought this problem was one of many little niggles my car decides to have and would go away with a little rest. That was 12 hours ago and they are still refusing to stop moving when the engine is running, despite being off on the controls. What do i do? Will this knacker my battery/motor? How much will it cost to get it fixed or could I do it myself with a Haines manual and a brew?

Hi. Did you manage to find out what the problem was? On my 2008 Clio 1.2 Dynamique the wipers don't always stop until what seems like 5 minutes after I've used the washers while other times they stop after a few seconds as they should. I've also noticed that sometimes when I switch the wipers off after normal rain use, they stick midway in their 'sweep'...

It probably already is

. Mine went on the Meg, wipers wouldn't work unless switched off, and then really slowly. TBH can't remember how much it was, as I'm not sure where all the paperwork is (at home, or with the insurance company) and anyway, I had it done at the dealership so it was bound to be ££

Hi,

i have a clio 2.2 1.4l 16V privilege 2002.
i have a similar probs
prob 1:. when wiper on intermittent, sometimes in goes in continuous until i press the brake pedal then it stops,as soon as i release pedal, it goes into continuous mode again
