below the offside headlight on the bumper there should be a 2" square cutout that you can remove for the towing eye.

Asterix, thanks for replying.

When I remove the 2" square I expected to see a tapped hole to screw the towing eye into, but it's solid metal behind it ?

Am I missing something ?

if you bought it from new, i would suggest you ring the dealership and scream blue murder about it and if they try to charge you for it i'd refuse to pay as its a build issue!
