Its a generic puke message ...............


I think you need to get a Renault speaking scanner in order to help yourself if you dont have a buddy or such that can scan and report on the logged codes to give direction

 

I had that message sporadically when having a bad misfire on one cylinder. Water in the hole as it turned out.
As LvR said get something to read a code or two.
Torque app is free to download and a cloned elm 327 dongle is about a tenner on the bay.
In the meantime cleaning air sensors and crank position sensor would do no harm.

 

For now I actually took the Turbo pressure sensor out and gave it a good wash. I drove for around an hour in the city and the message didnt pop up(It was popping up pretty frequently these days). But could be dumb luck and Ill see the message tomorrow.
And omg... I didnt write the code or the message rather, sorry was a hot day. The code was p0235. And since the fault popped up really randomly I digged around and saw people clean them(Thou theirs were REALLY MESSY). Mine had Im guessing oil on it, but very little, but I still gave it a good wash and put it back together.


Also I dont really want to make a new thread about it, but I have found a damaged wire and I was hoping any of you knew whats it for. (Photo attached). I hope its possible to make out but its the orange one in the middle, and it is >maybe< one of 2 that go under the generator. Im not sure if its damaged enough to not work or cause problems, but at the very leasty I guess I should put some tape on it right?

 

For the life of me cannot see the wire, or where you are saying damage.
Purple thin wire will be to the alternator, if Battery charge light working, thats ok.
Dont know of anything down there other than possibly oil pressure sensor, and if oil light is going off, same applies..


Can you connect the scanner, take for a run, and check for codes that way..

Turbo charging pressure sensor circuit 235..
This is not just for a wiring fault as such, ..
Could be something like your vacuum actuator is sticking, or failing.
Or the Variable Geometry inside turbo, if thats the type fitted..
ECU switches the solenoid off and on, now if something after the solenoid is not working correctly, when ecu decides to do one or the other, as in switch solenoid off , and the pressure does not change, then next time it authorises the solenoid to switch on, its finding its not had the signal to say the solenoid has moved, ..

As solenoid has not moved, so ECU throws a wobble..

NOT saying solenoid not at fault, but check other parts also..
You have cleaned EGR , so this you now know is not an issue..
Look at the turbo, and parts coming off the turbo..up to the Vacuum actuator .

Hope that makes (slight) sense
