Hi
I have blown the engine in my 05 1.5 dci kangoo van
It is a garage to have second hand engine fitted.
They will use fuel pump plus injectors from original engine how ever they say that all 4 injectors are not working and they cannot be repaired
The original engine had only done 75,000 miles is this correct

Thanks for any advice

Re: 1.5dci injector problem

not sure but someone else will correct me if I am wrong....but I think that the injectors need to be coded to the ecu, unless they are using the original ecu from the blown engine.

Yes that's right. Each has to be coded and in correct position. I suppose the garage has got them mixed up. Clever mechanics will number the injectors before removing so they can be fitted in the right cylinders. It may be advisable to get the injectors tested before towing the vehicle to Renault to have the injectors coded to the ECU.
:d

PS. An alternative is to test all possible fitting scenarios. There will be 16 possibilities if I'm not mistaking.
