Re: Modus sidelight bulb change

Ive not done one on a modus but i would say you get at the bulb from the back. Lift the bonnet and have a look at the back of the unit. If you are unsure go to your local halfords and they will change it for you. Do they do a haynes manual for your car it will explain it in there.

How To Change Renault Modus Sidelight Bulbs

Hi
Anyone out there know how to replace Modus sidelight bulbs without removing the bumper, I
think it's possible through the bumper grills but I can't get them Off tried lifting 2 side rods but no luck.
Cheers.

Re: How To Change Renault Modus Sidelight Bulbs

Im too lazy to go looking up the modus.
What I can tell you if its any use is that I can change my front foglight/driving light bulbs by undoing 2 screws that hold the front inner plastic wheelarch cover on and acessing the bulbs that way.
The manual states that front foglight/driving light bulb replacement isnt a diy option because the whole front bumper/plastic section has to be removed.
If I left it in to a dealer for a bulb change, would the whole bumper be removed? q family fortunes "uh uh" buzzer sound.
Would I be charged as if the whole front section had been removed?..who can say :)

Re: Modus half grills

My local Renault garage say they give the job to the mechanic with the smallest hands:crazy: We were lucy with our first tow - never had to change ay bulbs:d

Glad to say the latest Moduses appear easier, with more space behind the lights.

Re: Sidelights Renault Modus

I never managed to get the grills out when I tried - they seem to be clipped in and I didn't want to break anything. That said, I don't think they give access to the bulbs.

See replies to your previous post for replacing bulbs. I'm fairly sure that the sidelights can be replaced from behind the lamps without removing any bodywork though.
